Services

We provide an array of interpreting services that connect Deaf, Hard of Hearing, and hearing Canadians across all provinces and territories. Whether the connection is made through video relay service, video remote interpreting, or in-person interpreting services, all of our services are delivered with the goal of the utmost quality.

Video Relay Service (VRS)

We provide interpreting services to the Canadian Administrator of Video Relay Service, Inc. (CAV), facilitating telecommunications for Deaf and hard of hearing individuals using the CAV platform to connect to individuals and businesses who rely on telephone services.

The CAV  is a not-for-profit telecommunications services company with a mandate from the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) to design, implement and oversee the delivery of video relay service in Canada.

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI)

Video Remote Interpreting (VRI) allows people who are deaf or hard of hearing to communicate with a hearing person at the same location using an interpreter via videoconferencing, instead of using on-site interpreting.

Not only do we provide VRI services by contracting freelance interpreters for the above-described situation, but we can also work within the many online environments that people interact in—from webinars to virtual meetings.

In-Person Interpreting

In-person interpreting (also known as on-site interpreting or face-to-face interpreting) allows Deaf, Deafblind, and hard of hearing people to communicate live with those who use spoken language through a signed language interpreter. This is the traditional form of interpretation and is often the most effective because it allows all parties involved to see each other.
